George Schlutermann

George Schlutermann, P.G. is a Lead Hydrogeologist with Black & Veatch, Inc. in Orlando, Florida. He works with the National Groundwater team based in Florida to assist with hydrogeology related projects throughout the company. He graduated from the University of Florida, Department of Geological Sciences and University of Central Florida, School of Business Administration. He has over 34 years total of experience: 24 years of consulting experience and 10 years with the Southwest Florida Water Management District – Water Resource Bureau.

George has served as a hydrogeologist, project manager, Practice Area Leader, supervisor, business developer, and trainer.  He has worked in groundwater, water, and wastewater resource evaluation and development; alternative water supply project management, water treatment facility design and permitting, reuse systems design and permitting, wastewater treatment facility design and permitting, water quality studies, shallow and deep aquifer water well drilling, aquifer performance testing and analysis, geophysical testing and analysis, evaluation  of development impacts, and other projects related to groundwater resource development. He has worked on projects in Florida, California, Texas, and Oregon, and internationally in Curacao, Netherland Antilles. He is an experienced speaker having given numerous presentations and moderated technical forums.  He is also fluent in Spanish.
