Florida Geophysical Society

University of Florida Geophysical Society (FGS) is a Society of Explorations Geophysicists (SEG) Student Chapter that was established in Summer 2014.

Purpose:
The objective of Florida Geophysical Society shall be to promote interest in, and knowledge of, the sciences of geophysics and allied sciences, and to promote friendship and cooperation among those interested in the geophysical sciences.
Activities:
FGS hold monthly meetings with explorations geoscience related presentations and discussions. Students organize trips to SEG Student Expos and attend industry short courses.
