Jose Garrido
Jose Garrido is currently Director of the Environmental Affairs Division of both the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Cruise Line. He has been at Disney for over 13 years. He and his teams are responsible for environmental compliance and permitting in the U.S and maritime environmental regulations worldwide. Prior to his time at Disney, Jose was in the environmental consulting related field for over 20 years. As an environmental consultant, Jose traveled extensively throughout the U.S., the Caribbean and Central and South America working on federal, public, and private sector facilities. Born in Guantanamo, Cuba, Jose immigrated to the U.S., growing up in Miami, Florida. During his childhood years, he joined the Boy Scouts and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He later moved to Gainesville and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology in 1987.
