University of Florida 40Ar-39Ar Geochronology Laboratory utilizes both CO2 and Diode lasers (Teledyne Photon Machines). The gas extraction line is designed to handle hydrous phases/aliquots, as well as non-hydrous. The facility houses a brand new Isotopx NGX (with ATONA Faraday amplifiers) static multi collector noble gas mass spectrometer. NGX provides the ability to measure both low and high signals of 39Ar with high precision, allowing the analysis of samples with a wide range of K content.
