Dr. Dogancan Yasar’s current research includes the study of Variscan, Appalachian and Ross orogenic systems, to decipher their tectonic evolution throughout geologic time and space with the integration of various geochemical (bulk-rock and mineral chemistry) and geochronological (U-Pb zircon, rutile, monazite and ⁴⁰Ar-³⁹Ar hornblende, mica, groundmass) analysis.
